I Can't Keep Hiding

In April 2021, I wrote a blog about ignorance being bliss. I talked about how I took a break from the news and social media. Well, I took that to heart and I took it serious. I can't  tell you the last time I consistently watched the news. I read a couple articles, stay vaguely abreast of happenings in society and what is going on in the world. But for the most part, I do not do any deep dives. SimpleFAKs started because I have a gift of making complex conversations simple. I have been avoiding that because the conversations were so heavy. Well, I can’t keep avoiding these crucial conversations and topics. I have to use my voice, while I still have it! 

America, we have an election coming up in November…I think this election is more vital than than the 2016 election. We see what he did to the economy in those 4 years, we see the hate that he was able to spread in that one term. We cannot afford another term of hate, lies, ego, and stupidity. 

I would love to live to see a green party candidate or an independent candidate win a presidential election. 2024 is not the time for those shenanigans. Voting for one of those candidates is a wasted vote and a vote for the former president. We cannot go to the polls playing like we did in 2016. In 2016, people wrote in random names and voted for smaller party candidates and look what happened. 

While I love to laugh and joke as much as the next person, we have to be serious for 10 minutes when we complete those ballots. Your vote does count and it does matter when you are smart with it. 

With all that said, I am back…I will be reading, watching the news, staying educated and sharing knowledge. It is time to remember why SimpleFAKs was started, to get back to it. Make sure you are following SimpleFAKs on Facebook, IG and TikTok.
